POSITION: Vice President AgriBusiness

HIRING RANGE: Grade 14-16 (depending on experience of candidate)

SUPERVISOR: Doug Dorn, VP AgriBusiness

The primary purpose of this position is to expand the Association’s Agribusiness (large commercial scope farming enterprises, farm related businesses and/or marketing & processing loans) financial services opportunities with key Agribusiness clients. Incumbent is responsible for identifying key enterprises and players, for developing and successfully carrying out marketing plans to capture Agribusiness business including the establishment of strategic alliances with key partners in the Agribusiness environment and large traditional size clients. It is expected to achieve a significant and profitable level of business with Agribusinesses and larger commercial scope farming enterprises.

In addition to Agribusiness financing, this position exists to lead or co-lead a relationship maintained in a local branch office and will be an expert resource for leasing and AgriHedge and seek to expand our market share in each area. This position will also be active in Dealer Trade Credit financing.

This position is to deliver outstanding customer service through the sales and marketing of FCS financial services products through the building of strong relationships with Agribusinesses in the marketplace. The VPAB’s primary responsibility is to maintain a strong customer base by providing exceptional customer relationship management through demonstrating expert knowledge of FCS’ financial services products. The ultimate goal of the relationship built between the customer and the VPAB is for the customer to view the VPAB as a valued resource who provides new and worthwhile knowledge and insight into the customer’s business operations and in turn benefit by having customer refer new clients to the organization. The VPAB is also responsible to administer his/her complex credit portfolio in compliance with Association policy and procedures resulting in an overall satisfactory credit administration rating.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field and a minimum of five to ten years’ experience in agribusiness or similar experience in agricultural credit or closely related field. In-depth understanding of agricultural business management, finance, and macroeconomics is necessary along with excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving, analytical, negotiating, influencing, and strategic selling skills. Incumbent must demonstrate effective team building and team processing skills and the ability to work in a team environment that strives to exceed customer expectations. Must have the ability to combine agricultural and business knowledge with an in-depth understanding of each client’s current financial position in order to provide innovative and workable alternatives to solve problems the customer faces in their ongoing business operations. This is a full-time benefited position. As an exempt position, it does not qualify for overtime for hours worked over 40 per week.
